At SIB Grace our goal is to make others feel welcome and comfortable . In accomplishing these goals our Hospitality Team plays a vital role in making sure that people feel welcome and at ease. Each week we have a dedicated team that prepares and serve food and beverage after the service. Our desire as members of the Hospitality Team is to serve them with excellence. We believe that the way we care or people is a reflection of the way Our Lord Jesus cares for us.

Our Team Mission is to Glorify God, by showing His love through us and leading people to Christ. Every fellowship opportunity allows us to build relationship for His kingdom. We believe that every significant relationship starts with a sense of being welcomed and accepted and because everyone is important to God, you are important to us as well.

HISTORY

Over seven (7) years ago a small group of believers and their friends got together regularly to learn and share on the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Like the early believers after each meeting, a fellowship of light refreshment followed. Attendees would often bring a plate of goodies to add on to the biscuits and hot drinks made available. That was the birth of the hospitality ministry.

The group that met became a Preaching Point under the covering of SIB Olive Garden. Over five (5) years ago it attained church status and took on the name of SIB Grace. The weekly attendance has expanded from a small group of over 10 to over the 150 bracket. Having refreshment served continues and this has become the uniqueness of our church.

BEING PART OF THE HOSPITALITY TEAM

What has started as fellowship over biscuits and coffee or tea has now been upgraded to a spread of finger food, varieties of noodles or the occasional spread of home cooked delicacies. A team of six families are currently taking charge on a roster basis to arrange for the weekly refreshment. Members of the church are encouraged as a family or a group to join the hospitality team.

The weekly allowance for this catering is RM300.00 The family/group on duty are required only to arrange to order whatever food they would like served for the particular Sunday they are on duty. However if they want to bless the church with their culinary skill they may do so. Tables and other required utensils that may be required for use are being set up ready for their use. Drinks will be arranged for by the church.

TASK & RESPONSIBILITY

• Supply food and make it ready by 11.15 am

• To inform Church office before Thursday for the use of food warmer.

• Pack used disposable plates, cups and waste into garbage bags

• keep unused disposable plates, cups, cutleries and coffee/tea/milo sachets into respective containers

• unplug and keep all water dispenser and boiler to the trolley to be ready to be push to the store

• To make sure that the hall is clean and tidy before leaving the premise
